AQUARO HISTOLOGY ANNOUNCES THE AQUARO ASM™
Aquaro Histology to exhibit the new Aquaro ASM, a product for Automated Section Mounting at the National Society for Histology Annual Meeting

August 31, 2017
Ann Arbor, MI: Aquaro Histology announced today that they will be exhibiting the Aquaro ASM, its device for automating microtomy at the 43rd Annual National Society for Histotechnology (NSH) Symposium/Convention at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando Florida, September 15-20, 2017.

AquaroASM Automated Section Mounting DeviceThe Aquaro ASM is designed to allow hands-free microtomy, from cutting sections to relaxing and mounting the sections on microscope slides, all while fitting seamlessly into the current workflow. Automating microtomy frees up valuable time for histologists to focus on other activities resulting in increased productivity, improved quality, and enhanced safety, including fewer repetitive motion injuries for operators.

Alberto Elli, CEO of Aquaro Histology, stated “The Aquaro ASM is the first instrument to automate all steps of microtomy while not requiring any changes in workflow. It utilizes existing microtomes to produce high quality sections in a timely fashion, allowing histologists to multi-task while the instrument is mounting sections on slides.”

The Aquaro ASM has a footprint smaller than the water bath which it replaces, and requires only a standard electrical outlet. All Aquaro ASM commands are entered via a conveniently located touch pad, while all microtome settings are programmed through the microtome’s user interface.

Aquaro Histology will be exhibiting in booth 924 at the annual NSH meeting, with a technical team present to answer questions and discuss how the Aquaro ASM works and how it fits into existing laboratory workflows. The exhibition hours are 10:45 am – 4:30 pm Sunday and Monday September 17th and 18th, and 9:00 am-1:00 pm on Tuesday September 19th.
